Physiology of Asana Part 2: Fluid Balance & Circulation

  • Daya Yoga Studio 360 Jefferson Street Brooklyn, NY, 11237 United States (map)

Hosted by Will Klein
Individual session - $35 preregistration/ $40 drop-in

This workshop will take place in three parts ::
Part 1: The Nervous and Muscular Systems: consciousness, sensation and movement (Sat May 27th 2-4pm)

Part 2: The Endocrine System, Blood, Lymph, and Circulation: fluid balance, body chemistry, and how poses (moving) affects this (Sat July 8th 2-4pm)

Part 3: Respiration: the physiology of pranayama - we'll end this as we began by further discussing consciousness (Sat August 5th 2-4pm)

This series of workshops is recommended for yoga teachers and practitioners looking to gain a deeper understanding of how the body's complex structures function together. Over three Saturdays, we'll explore the body's response to various yogic poses and practices both active and restful. A cursory knowledge of anatomy will be helpful but is not required.

Will (Yam) Klein has been teaching yoga since 2011, and currently is in the process of completing prerequisites to pursue a Physical Therapy degree.
