Yoga for Alex - Hope for Depression

  • Daya Yoga Studio 360 Jefferson Street Brooklyn, NY, 11237 United States

On May 24, 2016, Alexander Kelston – a son, brother, friend, classmate, confidant, and much more to many people – took his own life after a long battle with depression. This year we are organizing a large-scale yoga event to celebrate his life and to raise money in his honor for depression research.

Alex would have turned 32 on June 18, 2017. To celebrate his birthday, Alex’s sister will teach a yoga class in New York City in memory of Alex. We are asking yoga teachers all over the world to consider dedicating a class to Alex during the month of June and donating all proceeds to the Hope for Depression Research Foundation.

This class will be donation-based, suggested $10.
We can take donations on-site by either cash or card.
To preregister, please use the WORKSHOP titled Yoga for Alex - Hope for Depression on the Daya Yoga Studio MindBody schedule.
