Yin Yoga is the practice of slowing down and journeying inward. Poses are largely passive, held for 5 minutes at a time, and are meant to open joints as the practitioner consciously relaxes muscles. Make no mistake, you will feel something, sometimes intensely, in this class - whether that is the slow opening of connective tissues or the emotions that arise from remaining in stillness. The postures proposed and the sensations that arise can serve as a very useful doorway for those who find it difficult to simply sit in meditation.
Cymasonic Sound Healing supports the individuals during this process, using their own strengths to attain better conditions in the mind and body. The vibrations allow students to better regulate their moods, approach their practice mindfully and rationally, and find a state of deep meditation.
This event is presented by Kiersten Cregger and Megumi Yamada in collaboration.
Megumi generously visits Kiersten's Saturday morning Yin Yoga class every second Saturday of the month to provide her service of Cymasonic Healing.
Regular class packages and drop-in rates apply.
