Hatha Wave is an open level Hatha Yoga class, which incorporates the tools of Butoh Dance to every day practice. Butoh, often called “The Dance of Darkness”, can help to dive deeper into compassion and understanding, as well as provide tools to focus and strengthen your daily yoga practice. We will begin with a brief explanation of Butoh, and move through out our Hatha practice with added tools to explore: imagery, breath work, improvisation, and walking meditation. Some elements of our class structure will only be found once we are all in the room together.
