As the sun crosses the celestial equator to usher in longer nights and shorter days, our essential nature is to move with the rhythm of our environment. This transition allows for the darker (Yin) aspects of ourselves to take the lead in preparation for the months ahead. When we don't accept this transition as a necessary and natural one, we may become resistant, saddened, and overwhelmed. This emotional state has the potential to manifest as physical restrictions.
In this workshop we will
- Explore emotional causes for physical limitations.
- Delve into how these common restrictions result in injuries, aches and pains.
-Learn how to develop a steady and effective home practice to support transition.
- Bring balance and ease into our day to day, and glide into the coming seasons free from restrictions and full of grace.
Therapeutic Yin Yoga is a slow paced practice. As with all styles of yoga, emphasis is placed on mindful self assessment and breathing.
