Partner Thai Yoga Bodywork
led by Isaac Krauss and Emily Melander
The body holds all of our experiences, thoughts and emotions. Through compassionate touch we release aches, pains, and habitual holding patterns, inspiring renewed vibrancy and appreciation for our physical vessels.
In Thai Yoga Bodywork, one is guided through a series of postures, while the practitioner is palming and thumbing along the body’s energy lines, called Sen lines in Ayurveda, and pressure points, using the weight-bearing and weight-lifting of both individuals transversely and so on.Together these actions result in a comprehensive full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically.
In this workshop we will learn some basic principles and techniques of Thai Yoga Massage. Through instruction and demonstration you will gain a deeper awareness of the body through its mechanics and energy. How to use touch intuitively and enhance your sensory perception. With hands-on practice between you and your partner, you will get a real feel for therapeutically treating and alleviating the body.
