Amazonian Medicine: Kambo Ceremony

Join Marely and Maria at Daya Bushwick for an afternoon of purification, healing, and strengthening rituals with Amazonian medicines. 

We will begin with a welcoming circle where education around the medicines uses, essence, and origins - along with tips on how to make the best out of our experience. 

Medicine begins with hapè, a tobacco snuff mixed with alkaline tree bark ashes and herbs - different blends are used for different intentions. This helps to ground the body, open it, and prepare the mind. 

Kambo is administered on the ankle for women and those with wombs, and men are served on the arm. The medicine lasts about 30 mins (the peak being no more than 10/15 mins). You will be supported throughout the entirety of your journey with cleaning smokes, uplifting flower essences, and hands on support if needed (acupressure to help move energy or a simple hug). 

We close with sananga, potent eye drops known to cure many eye conditions, cleanse the liver and anger, and open the third eye and intuition. This will lead us into our closing sound healing and restoration yoga followed by a closing circle and snacks.

Kambo, an amazonian frog used amongst tribes such as the Mastés and the Katukina, whom still work with this frog medicine. Kambo is a multi-use medicine as it effect's the physical body, mind, emotional state and the spirit/energy of a person.

Kambo is extremely effective, diverse and multidimensional in the way it works through its unique cocktail formula of peptides, secreted from the frogs waxy substance.
