Breakup Tantra hosted by Mariposa Boyd

Daya Yoga Studio Bushwick
$15/person
A guided workshop for women working through difficult breakups and other experiences of grief, using solo somatic practices, meditation, sound healing, and community to alchemize struggle into healing and growth.
Breakups and other losses can cause immense pain and chaos, both emotionally and physically, and our response is often to distract and numb through drugs, sex, impulsive decisions, or pints of cookie-dough ice cream in front of the tv. The result of this is not only to prolong our suffering and cause further damage to our hearts and bodies, but also to prevent us from accessing the vast wisdom that is possible through the darkness of the experience. This workshop will lead you through practices to process your emotions fully, express repressed trauma safely, and transform your pain into an avenue for development, all within a container of sisterhood.
Mariposa Boyd is a writer, performer, and somatic arts practitioner. She helps women heal their relationships with their bodies, find their power, and attune to their intuition to embody their innate authenticity, freedom, and aliveness. Her work was inspired by her own intense struggles and has developed out of teachings spanning many spiritual traditions, somatic sciences, and psycho-therapeautic practices, including Tantra, Dynamic Meditation, Kundalini, somatic trauma work, sacred dance, and Vedic teachings.
